How to practice gratitude

Practicing Gratitude

  • Set aside time each day to think of the good things in your life

  • Play music you enjoy - I have playlists to match music to my mood.

  • Pet an animal - pets and animals are great ways to stay focused on gratitude as they are a way to focus on unconditional love.

  • Watch children play - I love the imagination of younger kids and how they are in the moment of their play or creativity. Toddlers are great at being in the moment of finger painting, sitting for a story, running around a playground, and just being.

  • Watch animal videos on YouTube or Reels.

  • Hug someone and notice how you feel. Hugging friends, family, and my partner resets my nervous system. Spending time with others is also a way to feel grateful.

  • Keep a gratitude journal or jar. Here are some resources to get you started:

Gratitude can be expressed in many ways, and I encourage you to seek the ones that resonate within you.
